Dr. Robert Conway is an otologist, neurotologist, and skull base surgeon at the Michigan Ear Institute. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of complex ear and skull base conditions, including hearing loss, chronic ear disease, vestibular disorders, and tumors of the lateral skull base.
Dr. Conway earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Michigan State University, where he also completed his undergraduate degree in Economics. He went on to complete his residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at Henry Ford Warren Hospital, followed by fellowship training in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery at the Michigan Ear Institute.
Dr. Conway is actively involved in clinical research and has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and numerous national and international presentations. His research interests include cochlear implantation, outcomes of ossicular chain reconstruction, and innovations in stapes and skull base surgery. He has presented his work at major meetings including the American Academy of Otolaryngology (AAO-HNS), the Triological Society, the North American Skull Base Society, and international symposia in Austria, Italy, Japan, and Kenya. His research has been recognized with several awards.
In his spare time, Dr. Conway values time spent with his wife and daughter and enjoys competing in Ironman triathlons, golfing, and skiing.
