Dr. Hyunseo D. Jung specializes in pediatric and adult Otology, Neurotology, and Lateral Skull Base Surgery. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of hearing & balance disorders as well as skull base pathologies in both adults and children.

His clinical interests include cochlear implantation, Meniere’s disease, chronic ear infections, cholesteatoma, eustachian tube dysfunction, and surgical management of acoustic neuromas. Dr. Jung is certified in robotic-assisted cochlear implantation.

Dr. Jung received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University. He then received a Masters degree in Physiology & Biophysics at Georgetown University. He completed his medical training at Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami. He went on to train at the University of Virginia for his residency. He received multiple awards and recognition during his training for his excellence in teaching and contributions in research, being elected a chief resident in his final year of training. Following residency, he completed an accredited fellowship in ear and skull base surgery at the Michigan Ear Institute.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Jung is actively involved in resident education and clinical research, having authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, as well as presenting his works at prominent national and international conferences. He is a member of the Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), the American Neurotology Society (ANS) and the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS).

Outside of work, Dr. Jung enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, golfing, and crafting.
